Conscious Conversion is a weekly podcast about how we bridge the gap between business and spirit, money and meaning, technology and regeneration in a wildly changing world. In a time of so much polarity and uncertainty, this podcast explores how together we are connecting across the planet, across our differences and across dimensions as we build the New Earth together.

Jan 9, 2020

As entrepreneurs, we’re often put under pressure to replicate our peers, but that can compromise our focus, authenticity and it can force us into needlessly chasing perfectionism. How do we escape this trap? What is positive polarization, and how can it work to our favor? How can we stay in alignment as our businesses grow? On this episode, founder of Magamama and author of The Fourth Trimester, Kimberly Johnson, shares on running a successful business while staying true to herself.

3 Things We Learned From This Episode

Positive polarization

In order for people to resonate with us, we need to be okay with a healthy level of differentiation. This means we will say things some people won’t like, but the things that make us different are what make us stand out to our desired audience.

The specificity of the details we share pulls people in

A lot of people don’t know what specific help they need - they know what they’re feeling but they can’t identify the problem. It is through our content and what we share that they can resonate with us and also identify the areas they need help with.

Don’t be too focused on the perfect routine

Life is cyclical, it ebbs and flows and we won’t always be able to have or uphold the same routine. As spiritual entrepreneurs, we’re led by energy, and that often means dealing with chaos. But it is possible to build and run a successful business without being a person with strict routines.
